The 2017 RoundGlass Samsara Festival is being held from October 2 to 8 in Bengaluru. The environment and sustainability festival has been conceptualised by Grammy Award Winner Ricky Kej.

Through art, appreciation and dialogue, the festival encourages to consciously work for the environment for a better and brighter future.

The  festival will include summits, art exhibitions, a film festival as well as a music concert.

The film festival, which will be held at Indian Institute of Science and Suchitra Cinema and Cultural Academy until October 4, and at the National Gallery of Modern Art until the October 5, will showcase filmmakers from around the globe who use their art to celebrate nature and conservation. It consists of 90 films from genres including fiction, documentaries and animated films.

The art exhibition starts on October 4 and will continue till October 11 at UB City. It will be promoting environmental awareness. The art exhibition, presented by NGMA in collaboration with RoundGlass Samsara, features over 50 pieces of works of art on the theme of environment and conservation.

The festival will also have two environmental summits, which will be held at Vidhana Soudha and IISc.

The attendees include Grammy award-winning musician Darlene Koldenhoven, Guinness World Record holder Robert Charles Swan, and Social and environmental filmmaker Fredric Ollerstam.

It also includes a concert by Kej, Koldenhoven, Wouter Kellerman, and will conclude with personalities coming together to "promote the importance of environmental consciousness and provide impactful solutions to the ecological crises at hand."
