People from all walks of life thronged to the Prasads Multiplex in Hyderabad as Christopher Nolan’s Interstellar released on Friday.

Siddharth, a big fan of the director said that, “This is a brilliant film. I’ve never missed any of Nolan’s films and I’m glad I watched this the way he meant for it to be seen. What a performance by all the actors!”

The movie was originally shot by Nolan in the conventional celluloid format rather than the digital format that 95% of screens in India have switched to.

Prasads IMAX has the only screen in the country where the space exploration drama can be watched on 70mm film and in the immersive format that it was shot in.

“Nolan never ceases to amaze me. He’s proved yet again that he is the best at what he does. It’s a beautiful experience like you’re transported to outer space with him” Another fan adds.

The IMAX theatre, measuring 92 ft by 72 ft which is the largest screen in the country and the second largest IMAX 3D screen in the world
The theatre also boasts a 12,000-watt sound system and movie buffs from other cities as well have travelled to Hyderabad to experience the movie.

The tickets for the first three days are already sold out and many Nolan fans have just added the “First Day, First Show” tag to their achievements.

A fan who just walked out the theatre after attending the first show said “I booked my tickets the moment they became available on the net. I was waiting for this ever since the trailer released earlier this year. It was totally worth it”

The movie boasts a star studded cast as well with the likes of Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway and Michael Caine.
