If you are a student from Andhra Pradesh studying anything beyond Class IX, and are passionate about quizzing, elocution or essay writing, the Kalam IAS institute and Degree College in Rajamundry has something exciting lined up. On the occasion of the 85th birth anniversary of former President APJ Abdul Kalam, the institute has announced a state-wide contest in the three categories, on October 12 and 13.

The winners will get a cash prize of Rs 50,000 each. This is the second time that Kalam IAS institute organizing such an event in Rajamundry.

On Tuesday Rajamundry Urban SP B Rajeshwari, who launched the invitation brochure along with college principal Shaik Mohammed Ali, institute director G Suryakumari,  and Group-I officer Ram Gopal, asked students across state to utilise the opportunity to gain exposure.

The interested students can sign up for the competition at www.kalamiasonline.com and the first 10 early bird enrollers will be given travelling allowances along with residential accommodation for two days at Rajamundry. The online registration for the competition will be closed by October 5.

Kalam Institute director, Surya Kumari said that they have taken up the initiative to infuse the competitive spirit among the students from all backgrounds.
