In April last year, he was diagnosed with Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG), a kind of brain tumor, which primarily affects children, and is very difficult to treat. Brayden who fought his disease bravely got a Hero's farewell... Six pall bearers dressed like Thor, Superman, Spiderman, Iron Man, Hulk and Batman carried Brayden's casket, a farewell which the family planned for a boy for whom these super heroes meant the world. His mother Staci Denton's gesture has been touching hearts across the globe, pictures from is funeral widely shared on the web. A picture of Brayden's coffin being carried by his superhero pallbearers has moved viewers on the internet.Brayden, who lived with his mother Staci in Newton County, Ind., was a huge Spiderman fan- he liked all things superheroes. This was his mother’s way of celebrating what he loved most. "The whole time I saw them carrying Brayden he was probably up there going, 'This is so cool,'" she told the New York Daily News. Though he lost his battle to cancer, his story will be remembered by many, mostly because of his mother’s one special act- her befitting goodbye to her hero, her baby. Staci donated her son’s tumor for research. Earlier, the make-a-wish foundation had also sponsored a trip to Disney World for Brayden, according to a report. A Facebook page called Brayden Denton’s Benefit Page was also set up to collect funds for Brayden’s treatment.According to thecurestartsnow.org, less than 10% of DIPG children will live longer than 18 months from diagnosis. Survival is even more rare.
