Bangalore police arrest student for allegedly circulating anti Modi MMS

The News Minute| May 25, 2014| 10.35 pm ISTSources in the Bangalore police have confirmed to The News Minute that an MBA student has been arrested for allegedly circulating an MMS that was a spoof on Narendra Modi and the Ab Ki Baar, Modi Sarkaar slogan. The arrest was made on the basis of a complaint made by a BJP activist based out of Bhatkal. The Bhatkal police then intimated Bangalore police. Though the police had initially taken in five people for questioning, four have been let off while one person called Waqar Barmawar has been arrested.The five were detained on May 24 night and four let off after many hours of questioning. The MMS allegedly was first received by Waqas Barmawar who then circulated it among his friends. The MMS allegedly showed a funeral pyre with Modi and the caption read, "Ab ki baar, Antim Samskaar."
