Voters data stolen in Bengaluru - Why TNM investigation matters to all

TNM and Pratidvani published an investigation this week exposing how government officials colluded and allowed a private trust called Chilume to collect data of voters in Bengaluru. The trust engaged hundreds of workers across the city, gave them fake ID cards of booth level officers and collected data. That’s not all- this data was stored into a private app maintained by Chilume.
