The Tamil Nadu government’s proposal to build a new Assembly and Secretariat complex in Chennai’s Pattinapakkam has triggered strong opposition from fisherfolk living along the coast.
Despite issuing an order, the government has maintained that the Detailed Project Report is being prepared and that no final decision has been taken on constructing the complex at Pattinapakkam.
