A 25-year-old woman killed herself on Sircilla (rural) police station premises in the Karimnagar district of Telangana on Sunday allegedly over marital discord, police said.

The woman was unhappy over a strained relationship with her husband, police said.

She had earlier approached Mustabad police station for a resolution to the problem, where the couple was counseled to live amicably, they said.

However, when their relationship did not improve the woman reached Sircilla (rural) police station on Sunday afternoon and consumed insecticide.

She died on the way to hospital.

An investigation is on, police said.
