Following the damage to roads and urban infrastructure caused by the September flood in Hyderabad, the Telangana Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (TSIIC) is all set to develop the Cyberabad area.

The 24-km-stretch in Cyberabad and all connecting roads to the area from the main city will be developed in six to seven months.

TSIIC has been offered works worth Rs.125 crore to improve the roads of the area.

It was reported that the path between IIIT-Hyderabad and Varun Motors, a 3.6 km stretch, and a 2.4 km long road in the Hyderabad Knowledge City are to be revamped soon.

The IT hub Cyberabad area will not just get better roads but also improved drainage system through this project.

“The project will be done in phases and will cost the government over Rs. 300 crore,” Raj Kumar, managing partner of Dhrumataru Consultants, the company plans to manage the project told Times of India.

After looking into the infrastructure of structure of the IT corridor for a month the corporation have planned to modernise roads and ease traffic congestion and provide facilities such as bus bays, toilets, cycling tracks, pavements for easy mobility and disabled friendly.

It has also planned to lay adequate storm-water drains and utility ducts to ensure that rainwater does not damage the stretches during monsoon.
