Written by : TNM

The News Minute | June 3, 2014 | 6:21 PM IST The TRS cabinet that swore in expressed its stand on Maoists and naxalites in the state. The Home Minister for the Telangana State Nayani Narasimhareddy, said that if law and order are maintained then there is generous scope to develop the state. Many suggest that he is indirectly hinting at the Maoist issue of the state. It will guard the religious harmony in the state, he added. He also said there  were no Maoist activities in the recent times. As long as they do not come to mainstream life, there is no way that the ban on them will be lifted off, he said. In fact many believed that as soon as the TRS government takes oath there will be an announcement on lifting of ban on Maoists. But definitely the home minister's remark must have shocked the Maoists and their supporters.
