Three Hyderabad college students arrested for selling LSD

The police on Thursday arrested three college students for selling the psychedelic drug LSD and seized 32 'stamps' or 'blots' of the contraband from them.

The officers of Commissioner's Task Force (West Zone) Team arrested Saad Mohammed, Mohd Mubeenuddin and Nikhil Roach (all college students, aged 20-21 years) from Bowenpally area.

Apart from blots (pieces of blotting paper soaked in LSD), police also seized Rs 11,000 in cash and three cell phones from them.

Saad Mohammed and Mubeenuddin procured LSD from a source in Goa at Rs 500 per blot and sold it here for Rs 1500-1700.

"Regularly he used to go to Goa and Kasol, Himachal Pradesh. In Goa he came to know about LSD blots (Stamps) through one unknown person. On realising that many of people in Hyderabad are interested to purchase and consume LSD blots (stamps) he hatched a plan to earn easy money by selling of LSD blots in Hyderabad on higher price," TOI quoutes a police press note as saying.

Roach joined them at some later point. Saad communicated with his customers through the social networking sites, police said.

Police are looking for Prateek Bijjam, one of the persons from whom they bought the contraband.
