The Income Tax Department conducted searches of Telugu producer 'Dil' Raju’s residence, office, and other properties on Tuesday, January 21. Raju’s residences in Hyderabad’s Jubilee Hills and Banjara Hills, along with his brother Sirish and daughter Hansitha Reddy’s residences, were searched.
Officials have been conducting inspections at eight locations connected to 'Dil' Raju since 5:30 am. Four teams have been searching the producer’s residence in Jubilee Hills.
The I-T Department is also conducting searches at the properties of Mythri Movie Makers’ producer Naveen Yerneni, who produced Pushpa 2: The Rule starring Allu Arjun. Last month, they conducted searches on the premises of the Mythri Movie Makers.
Raju was recently appointed as the Telangana Film Development Corporation chairman and is the producer for two big Telugu cinemas released in January 2025: Game Changer starring actor Ram Charan and Sankranthiki Vasthunnam starring Venkatesh. He also owns Sri Venkateswara Creations, a well-known production company in the Telugu states and was the distributor for actor and Telugu Desam Party (TDP) MLA Balakrishna starrer Daaku-Maharaj.
According to local reports, the I-T Department is looking into the producer’s recent collections and studying the budget issues pertaining to his two releases.
