Written by : TNM

Senior Telugu Desam Party (TDP) MLA Manchireddy Kishen Reddy from Ibrahimpatnam is all set to join the TRS, likely during the ruling party's plenary planned to be organized on April 24, in Hyderabad. Reddy is the fourth MLA to defect to the TRS from the TDP.   According to a report in the Deccan Chronicle, the official announcement of the defection is expected to be heard today. The report also suggests that the ministers of the TRS have doubled their efforts to rope in more legislators and senior leaders from other parties, keeping in view, the upcoming GHMC elections. The Ranga Reddy district only has four MLAs from the ruling party and the defection of Kishen Reddy could strengthen their hold in the district. Earlier, Talasani Srinivasa Yadav, Teegala Krishna Reddy and Challa Dharma Reddy from the TDP had defected to the TRS.The TRS plenary which is being held at the Lal Bahadur Stadium, is the first one after the party came to power in Telangana and grand plans are being made.  The event will also see chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao's re-election as party president.
