TDP claims that KCR insulted Telangana by praising the Nizam - demand withdrawal of statement

Chandrasekhar Rao had described him as great and secular while inaugurating the 75th All India Industrial Exhibition in Hyderabad on Thursday evening"He was a glorious king. Some small mistakes may have happened, but they happen in any kingdom," KCR, as the chief minister is popularly known, said while lauding him for development and welfare projects.Defending his praise for Nizam and visiting his grave on the occasion of his death anniversary, KCR said when people in Andhra Pradesh can celebrate birth and death anniversary of Arthur Cotton, a British engineer, why can't he visit the Nizam's grave.However, this statement has drawn a lot of flak from the opposition parties of BJP and TDP with senior TDP leader Errabelli Dayakar Rao claiming that KCR was insulting Telangana by praising the Nizam.He also added that the Nizam rule destroyed Telangana culture and demanded that KCR withdraw his statement.On the issue of ration cards, he stated that a week's time would be given for the chief minister to respond, following which there would be large scale protests. Tweet
