Amid widespread public outrage over Bharati’s death, her grieving mother, Anandini, has spoken about her daughter and the family's loss.Following the road accident involving Jana Sena leader and Rajya Sabha Member of Parliament Lingamaneni Ramesh’s son Sanjush, the victim Bharati’s mother Anandini spoke to the media. Bharati died on August 16 after Sanjush, who was driving his Aston Martin hit her in Hyderabad’s Madhapur.
Speaking to the media on Friday, August 21, Anandini said that Bharati had come to Hyderabad to earn a living and had helped her family out financially. “After completing her diploma, she even got a BTech seat but was unable to continue studying because of the COVID-19 pandemic,” she added.

“I extend my heartfelt condolences to her family. No word can lessen the grief, and my family and I stand with them during this extremely painful time. We will extend every support possible to the bereaved family,” MP Ramesh stated, adding that his son, Sanjush had immediately shifted the young woman to the hospital after the accident and was cooperating with the authorities.
“As a person holding a responsible position, I assure everyone that I will extend my complete cooperation to the police department and the ongoing investigation. “We have full faith that the truth will emerge through a fair and impartial legal process,” he added.
