Modi to kick start “Telangana Bachao” campaign?

The News Minute | December 1, 2014 | 7:45 am ISTThe BJP is ready to expand in Telangana and is planning an all out attack on the ruling TRS government after announcing a massive membership drive across the state’s districts on Sunday.According to a report in The Times of India, the BJP state unit is planning to pull in Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP national president Amit Shah to kick start a ‘Telangana Bachao’ campaign in February.The BJP also plans to take up the issue of farmer suicides and plans to highlight the “ill planned” farm loan waiver scheme. The party is also planning to rope in the Telangana Joint Action Committee (TJAC) and aims that this would be a politically effective strategy.The BJP which is an ally of the TDP is already making its presence felt in the state hopes to strengthen its hold on the new state by the next elections in both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
