Nobody is safe from thieves in this country, not even an influential Union Minister.

Union Minister for Labour and Employment Bandaru Dattatreya got a taste of common man’s woes after he lost his new smartphone, to a possible crook amongst one of his visitors. A police complaint has been filed in Hyderabad.

What’s worse, there seems to have been no lock on his phone.

According to his PR Manager, Nagesh, the Minister had handed over the phone to him on Sunday morning to get it charged-up after a long night of no electricity at his residence in Ram Nagar. There are usually a lot of visitor on a Sunday, and in the ruckus, someone seems to have sneaked his phone out.

“As it was a Sunday, many people came to meet him. After some time when I went again to take the phone, it was not there at charging point,” said Nagesh.

"We have filed a police complaint at the Mursheebad police station and we have given the CCTV footage to the police,” he added.

“It was a Samsung latest model, with a grey color phone-cover and there was no lock on the phone as there are 4 PA's who manage minister sir's phone".
