KCR government issues order to begin loan waiver process

The News Minute | September 22, 2014 | 10.04 pm ISTThe Telangana government has ordered that farm loans of up to Rs 1 lakh are to be waived off, a loans worth Rs 17,000 crore in total would be waived off by the government.According to an NDTV report, this was one of the recommendations accepted by the government headed by Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao. The state government had earlier appointed a cabinet sub-committee to look into how the loan waiver would be put into effect.
