Written by : TNM

The News Minute | November 5, 2014 | 9:00 am ISTTelangana is going to present its maiden budget (2014-15) at the legislative assembly which begins from Wednesday. The budget will be presented by Finance Minister Etela Rajender and the session is going to last till November 12.Chief Minister, K Chandrasekar Rao has been closely involved in the budget preparation process. The CM has apparently made it clear to department heads that the proposals should reflect the government’s vision for the next four years. The state assembly may witness a stormy session as the opposition parties of Congress, BJP and TDP have decided to demonstrate their side of the argument. The opposition parties have indicated that they plan to corner the TRS government on the situation of the power crisis and farmer suicides that the state faces.Though the opposition has only 46 members out of the total 120, it is expected that the ruling TRS may have a tough time defending these claims as it has not fulfilled most of the promised in its manifesto.According to a report in The Hindu, the opposition also claims to talk about other issues like the problems of sharing water with AP and release of scholarship to students which could embarrass the state government.
