Hyderabad techie commits suicide, police register case against husband

A 34-year-old woman software engineer allegedly committed suicide at her house in Nallagalla area in Hyderabad, police said on Saturday.

The police registered a case of abetment of suicide against her husband.

Malleshwari, who worked with an IT firm in Madhapur area here, was found hanging from the ceiling fan in her house yesterday, sub-inspector Jafar Ali of Chandanagar Police Station said.

Her husband, Amit M, is also a software engineer and works in the same company. They got married in 2009 and have a five-year-old old daughter.

The woman's parents lodged a complaint against Amit alleging that he was harassing her which led to her suicide, PSI Ali said.

No arrest has been made yet. Probe is on.
