Earlier, the Telangana State Election Commission (TSEC) issued orders restricting on publication and dissemination of result of opinion poll and exit polls for the ensuing GHMC polls on February 2.

"The publication or dissemination of exit polls and opinion polls, before the poll is likely to influence or effect the result of election and consequently undermining the goal of neutrality  and fairness in the election," it said.

The ban was lifted with the completion of the voting process on Tuesday evening.

The counting of votes will be taken up on February 5, following which the results will be announced.
