Horror video from Hyderabad: Father flings 3-yr-old son against autorickshaw

Written by : TNM Staff

A bloodcurdling video has surfaced from Hyderabad of a father assaulting his three-year-old son in front of police personnel.

A 33-second clip of the crime shows the accused Shiva Goud, who was drunk, ambling out with his toddler, who struggles to get out of his grip. He first throws the child up in the air, and then flips him behind his back, holding him upside down. Shiva then rushes towards an auto-rickshaw and flings the child head first against the three-wheeler with a lot of force. The child lies motionless on the ground, as those around including the mother and others scream in shock and horror. He then picks up the child and refuses to hand him over, at least until the end of this stomach churning clip.

The incident took place at 2am on Monday and two police personnel were present at the time of the crime. The son has been admitted to Niloufer Hospital. Police say the three-year-old is stable.

Speaking to TNM, Narasimha Reddy Inspector of Jagadgirigutta said, “We received a call on 100 (emergency service) reporting nuisance in Srinivasanagar Colony at 2 am. Under the influence of alcohol, the accused was hurling abuses at his wife and was not cooperating with the police. While our people were there he suddenly flung his three-year-old son and hit him against the auto.”

The inspector also said that Shiva fled from the spot following the assault. “We are trying to nab him. The boy’s mother did not file a complaint, despite this incident. But we have taken a suo-moto case,” he said.

Shiva Goud has been booked under the Child Care and Protection Act and Section 75 of Juvenile Justice Act that deals with punishment for cruelty to children.

The policeman told TNM that the child was stable and recovering at the Nilofer Hospital in Hyderabad.
