‘A friend of many, foe of none’: Condolences pour in for Hyd journalist Suresh Krishnamoorthy

Senior Assistant Editor of The Hindu, Suresh Krishnamoorthy, passed away at his Hyderabad residence on Saturday morning.

Suresh, who lived in Begumpet, suffered a stroke and was shifted to Nizam's Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS) around 10am, where doctors declared him brought dead. 

His body has been preserved at the NIMS morgue. 

According to his colleagues, he had recently completed 25 years at The Hindu. The final rites are expected to be performed in two days, as Suresh's parents are in the US.

He is survived by his wife and a daughter.

Condolences began pouring in for the senior journalist on Saturday, with many of his friends and colleagues taking to social media.

"A friend of many, foe of none Suresh Krishnamoorthy no more," wrote KV Kurmanath.

"A sad day when I woke up to the passing away of a dear charming and big hearted friend, Suresh Krishnamoorthy. A veteran at The Hindu, a reporter and a hobby photographer, a loving father and family man, and a great friend, many many people share this bereavement. Bye, friend. You will be missed, always," Sriram Karri wrote.
