Cyberabad police arrests man from Chittoor after he uploads woman's nude videos online

The Cyberabad police arrested a B.Tech student on Wednesday from Chittoor, after he allegedly uploaded nude videos of a Hyderabad woman on porn sites. 

The accused, identified as Naveen, is also said to have blackmailed the woman, before committing the crime.

According to reports, the accused met the victim on Facebook.

“The girl was studying intermediate at the time. He asked her for personal photographs which she sent him,” an investigation official from Cyber crime told Deccan Chronicle.

Following this, Naveen is said to have blackmailed the victim to get intimate, threatening her that he would upload the pictures on the internet.

The woman's parents got to know about the whole issue, following which they filed a complaint with the police.

He is also reported to have shared the videos and photos with his friend. Following the arrest, the webpages have been blocked by the Cyberabad police.

It was earlier reported that Hyderabad was ranked the third highest in number of cybercrimes committed in the country.

According to a TOI report, as many as 1,074 cyber offences were registered in the city between 2010 and 2015, with cybercrime increasing by almost 138% from 2013 to 2014, before by 10% from 2014 to 2015.
