Wife strangulates husband’s lover after he ties the knot

1. From a list of 98 cities selected for development under the Smart City Mission, Tamil Nadu has 12 of them including Chennai, Tiruchy and Tirunelveli. Under this project, each city will receive around Rs. 500 crore for over five years from the Centre. Here’s the whole list.

Her husband, a professor at Panimalar Engineering College had reportedly brought his colleague, Rajalakshmi, home and had even tied the mangalsutra to her in front of his wife after which she strangulated her in her bathroom.

4. What’s the status on TN’s Global Investors’ Meet? – This is the question made by the DMK treasurer MK Stalin who alleged that the meet was viewed by the government as a “PR activity”. He has demanded a white paper on the same.

5. Madras University has given orders to resume classes for the Department of Politics and Public Administration at University of Madras. However, conditions for students to continue classes include a written undertaking that no protests will be held on any issue.
