Watch: Hilarious musical Tamil satire on demonetization taking on govt and ‘bhakts’

Written by : TNM Staff

Not only are demonetization policy and its implementation the reasons for our suffering, but also the butt of our jokes.

A group of comedians in Tamil Nadu seem to have brought together the pain, suffering and comedy together for a hilarious musical satire on the woes of the common man.

The video is riddled with funny depictions of a man waiting to get cash – hitting the streets, doing tapasya for it and even staying out overnight. There is the ‘bhakt’, ostensibly modelled around BJP supporters who are going around giving ‘laddoos’ to those waiting in line, calling them 'thyagis'.

And there is the uproarious twist in the end, so don’t tune out before you watch the full video.
