Villupuram triple student death case goes to CB-CID, prime accused suspects foul play
The state government on Friday transferred the case of death of three girls in Villupuram to Crime Branch-Criminal Investigation Division (CB-CID).
The prime accused Vasuki Subramanian on Thursday told the Kallakurichi Magistrate in Villupuram that she suspected foul play in the death of three girls to tarnish the image of the college.
She has been sent for three days police custody to the Cuddalore Central Prison for Women. Claiming innocence, she said that she was being framed in this case and requested to the judge to shift her to Class-A cell in the prison, according to TNIE.
Vasuki blamed Chinna Salem police inspector Sakthivel who had threatened the college to be shut during a dispute and she even blamed her for the protests carried out in the college.
The magistrate has asked the police not to use physical force during interrogation and asked them to produce her in court on February 4,2016, reported by TNIE.
Vasuki Subramanian, chairperson of the SVS College of Naturopathy and Yoga Sciences, is one of the four accused in the suicide case of three students who were found dead in a well near the college.
