The film is a part of the election propaganda for Vijayakanth, according to TNIE report. The film will have shades of the current political scenario and catchy dialogues with political overtones.

Vijayakanth is being opposed by a Tamil groups Naam Thamizhar movement and they are also carrying out a campaign saying he is not a son of the soil and he has Telugu roots. They are saying that non-Tamils should not be allowed to rule Tamil Nadu, according to TNIE report.

The movie Thamizhan Endru Sol is to focus on Vijayakanth’s Tamil identity and his devotion for Tamil.

Vijayakanth has always connected himself with Tamil identity and the slogan for his fan club was chosen from the poems of ‘Nammakal’ Ramalingam Pillai.  The slogans- Thamizhan Endru Sollada and Thalai Nimirndhu Nillada which asks people to take pride about their Tamil identity.
