DMDK Leader Vijayakanth on Friday said that he would sacrifice anything to defeat AIADMK in 2016 elections. He also blamed AIADMK for not doing enough for the people of Tamil Nadu.

In a public meeting at Manalurpet in his Rishivandiyam constituency, Vijayakanth criticized Jayalithaa for her recent visit to Kodnad in the Nilgiris district when people are facing various problems in the state.

Even so, there is still no clarity on whether Vijayakanth will be a part of an alliance led by the DMK or join the People’s Welfare Front.

On the other end, MDMK leader Vaiko on Friday in Chennai hinted tie-up with DMDK into the People’s Welfare Front.

In a press conference, Vaiko said nothing but politics was discussed with the actor during his one-hour meet. “Think positively, hope positively,” he told regarding electoral ties with DMDK. The People’s Welfare Front currently consists of MDMK, CPI, CPM and VCK. The party will announce its electoral strategy by November 2.
