As the year comes to an there is always a tendency to look back at what happened and one thing that many Indians would remember is the Tamil Nadu floods.

For many, who worked for the flood relief from other states and even countries, were left with a surreal feeling. Starting from rescue operations to giving shelter and from distributing food to giving medical aids was all being done over a span of seven days when Tamil Nadu, especially coastal areas like Chennai, Cuddalore, Puducherry and coastal Andhra Pradesh that faced the wrath of El-Nino.

There were many people from Chennai, who were working on the ground for the flood- relief who brought a ray of hope in the otherwise gloomy state which has faced a loss of over Rs 15000 crore because of the floods. There are many volunteers still cleaning up severely damaged areas.

Culture Machine's Put Chutney has compiled all stories of people, who have helped Chennai get back on its feet again in their own unique ways. They narrate what they saw and their unforgettable experiences in the video.
