In the latest in a string of criminal defamation complaint filed against those commenting on Tamil Nadu CM Jayalalithaa’s health, the TN government has now turned its focus on its next target – BJP leader, Subramanian Swamy.The government on Tuesday filed a criminal defamation complaint against Swamy for his tweets last week stating that Jayalalithaa was scheduled to depart to a US hospital for treatment for a kidney or liver transplant.JJ likely any moment to depart for Baltimore USA to be admitted in Johns Hopkins Hospital for a liver transplant. The latest one comes a week after a defamation complaint was filed by Jayalalithaa against online portal, Rediff, for carrying two articles regarding her health stating that it had been published without proper fact verification. A few days later, another complaint was filed against Nakkeeran, a Tamil bi-weekly for writing an article suggesting that Jayalalithaa needed a kidney transplant.It’s not all about Jayalalithaa’s health though. The city public prosecutor has filed another defamation complaint on behalf of Finance Minister O Panneerselvam against a Tamil biweekly, Junior Vikatan for publishing an allegedly defamatory article.  The complaint stated that the article was misleading by mentioning that someone close to the minister himself was generously funding the party, reported Times of India.
