Two men including Seeman’s security guard were arrested by the Greater Chennai Police (GCP) after a fight broke out between Seeman’s men and the police outside the Naam Tamilar Katchi (NTK) leader’s place of residence in Neelankarai on Thursday, February 27.

After the police stuck a summons outside Seeman’s residence on Thursday, one of his supporters allegedly tore the notice. Reports said when the police attempted to inquire about the torn notice, the security guard pushed the officers away and also pulled out a gun.

Visuals of Amal Raj, the security guard, being arrested outside the NTK leader’s house have surfaced. In the video, police can be seen struggling to disarm Praveen as he pulls out a gun.

Visuals of Seeman’s wife K Kayalvizhi rushing out of the house and apologising to the police have also surfaced.

Both Praveen Raj and Sudhagar, the man who tore the summon notice, were arrested by the police.

The police had issued the summons to Seeman on Thursday, instructing him to appear before them on Friday, February 27, to probe the sexual assault complaint filed against him by actor Vijayalakshmi. According to reports, Seeman had previously been notified to appear before the Valasaravakkam police on February 27. But, he failed to attend the inquiry.

Actor Vijayalakshmi had filed a complaint on August 29 alleging that Seeman cheated her under the pretext of marriage. She further alleged that he forced her to undergo seven abortions. Earlier, in 2011, she filed complaints against Seeman for rape, cheating, and criminal intimidation. However, criminal proceedings were not initiated against him after Vijayalakshmi requested not to proceed with the case.
