Tamil channel Polimer TV caught shooting Vijay’s ‘Theri’ in a Coimbatore theatre

Members of the Tamil channel Polimer TV allegedly tried to shoot actor Vijay’s movie ‘Theri’ illegally in Shanthi theatre on Thursday morning in Coimbatore.

Vijay fans caught the cameraman and brought him to the police station. “On Thursday morning, Vijay fans noticed a man recording the movie with his camera, they asked him to stop but the cameraperson continued to shoot. He was repeatedly asked to stop, until the camera was confiscated. Later, fans took him to the police. He was apparently a private cameraperson who was occasionally hired to do such work,” said Sampath, a local Vijay fans club president.

Producer Council Secretary Amma Creations, Siva told The News Minute, "Polimer TV has been involved in such illegal activities for longer time. So far they have earned in crores by shooting illegally in the theatres but this is the first time they have been caught.

Senthil of Monica Films, has lodged the complaint and he is the Coimbatore distributor.

Moreover, according to sources, producer of the movie Kalaipuli S. Thanu will be filing a case against Polimer TV at the Madras High Courton Friday.
