A poll survey conducted by Goodwill Communications, headed by DMK supporter Father Jegath Gasper predicts that the DMK will sweep the upcoming assembly elections.

The survey done by the firm run by Father Gasper Raj, a close friend of Kanimozhi, predicts that DMK will win about 127-139 seats, AIADMK will gain 81-90 seats and others 14-17 seats.

The survey had a sample size of 12,000 voters and was conducted in four phases and over 10 months. It was carried out in Chennai, North Tamil Nadu, South Tamil Nadu, West Tamil Nadu, North-West Tamil Nadu, Central Kaveri Delta, Deep South and far- South Tamil Nadu.

According to the poll survey, the vote share of the AIADMK comes down from 39.9 per cent in 2006 to 38 per cent in 2016 while DMK drops from 44.8 per cent to 43 per cent. The vote share of ‘other’ parties, however, increases from 15.3 per cent to 19 per cent.

In a press conference on Monday in Chennai, he said, "I'm a DMK supporter and will cast vote for DMK, but the survey is unbiased."

Another survey done by Cauvery News, said the DMK led alliance is projected to win a vote share of 37.9 percent and the AIADMK is projected to capture 32.9 percent vote share this time.
