Cooling his heels for a while, BJP leader Subramanian Swamy is all set for a re-entry in the disproportionate assets case involving Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa.Swamy has announced his intention to file a petition in the Supreme Court this week asking permission to let him implead in the Karnataka government’s petition in the DA case. The Karnataka government filed a special leave petition (SLP) on June 23 challenging the Karnataka High Court's decision to acquit Jayalalithaa in the DA case in which she was sentenced to four years in jail.Soon after, on July 6, the DMK also joined in, and filed a petition challenging the acquittal. The SLP was filed by DMK general secretary, K Anbazhagan.This is not the first time Swamy has sought entry in the disproportionate assets case. In March, Swamy was told to give in his written submissions in the case by the Karnataka High court. The order came after Swamy filed a petition requesting permission to implead in the DA case.For now, both the petitions filed by the DMK and the Karnataka government have been clubbed by the SC, and is expected to be heard on July 24.
