Stalin promises to shed corruption, asks voters to look to a future with honest DMK

Written by : TNM Staff

Accepting that the DMK partymen were part of corrupt activities in the past, DMK treasurer MK Stalin said that he will make sure that it will shed its image.

He said this addressing lorry transport and allied industry owners in Sankagiri in Salem on Monday.

Stalin told The New Indian Express, “You might have had bad experiences with DMK men in the past. Party functionaries, including me, would have inadvertently supported their excesses. But when the DMK is back in power, there will be a totally honest, transparent government, free of corruption, commission and collection.”

He also added that people will not have to go to politicians instead they will come to their doorstep. And the campaign Namakku Naame Vidiyal Meetuppu is the beginning of it.

Stalin said that he will make sure that they shed the image of a muscle powered, high handed and corrupt force, according to NIE report.

The lorry industry demanded reduction of state cess on diesel, which had risen from 2% to 6%. Stalin promised to fulfil their demands.
