SRM Group chairman files petition demanding action against Vendhar movies head Madhan

Written by : TNM Staff

SRM Group chairman T R Pachamuthu’s legal team on Tuesday submitted a petition to the city police commissioner, urging action against Vendhar movies head S Madhan.

The legal team has alleged that Madhan had cheated several students by misusing the group’s name.

Pachamuthu said that Madhan had no connections with the SRM group and was expelled in February from his India Jananayaka Katchi (JNK) party.

On May 28, after Madhan went missing, a letter apparently written by him surfaced on Whatsapp in which he claimed that he was going to Varanasi to attain ‘samadhi’.  Subsequently, his wife and other family members claimed that the SRM group was behind his disappearance.

Thereafter, there were several complaints from students saying that Madhan had swindled money from them after promising seats in the SRM group of institutions.

“He staged a suicide drama to escape from police as he swindled huge sums of money from students,“ the complaint said.

The SRM group chairman further alleged that Madhan had created fake documents in the company’s name and forged his signatures.
