A class VI girl was allegedly raped in Salem by the son of a private school owner when she went to play with his daughter last month. The school warden threatened not to tell anyone but on Tuesday, when the girl’s grandmother came she informed her about the incident and a police complaint was filed, according to The New Indian Express.

The Ammapet Police said that the girl was staying at the school hostel and the house of the school owner’s son David Livingston was near the hostel. The 11-year-old girl used to go play with his three-year-old-daughter during weekends. Last month, she went to play with the child but unfortunately there was no one at home except David Livingston. He raped the girl and later, when she informed the warden Mariya about the incident, she threatened the child and told her not to tell it to anyone.

On Tuesday, when the girl’s grandmother came to meet her, she narrated the incident to her and filed a complaint at the All Women Police, Ammapet. The case has been filed against both the warden and the school owner’s son David Livingston. They both have gone into hiding and the police teams are trying to find them.
