The All India Samathuva Makkal Katchi (AISMK) founder R Sarathkumar on Wednesday expelled Eranvur Narayanan MLA from Nanguneri assembly constituency and six other office bearers for anti-party activities.

He expelled Karu Nagarajan, general secretary, Ice House Thiyagu, headquarters secretary and a few other who had joined BJP in New Delhi on Wednesday in the presence of the Union Minister Pon Radhakrishnan, reported by TNIE.

In a press statement, Sarathkumar said that an emergency meeting of the party member would be conducted on January 28,2016.

Narayanan told TNIE, "After his defeat in the elections for South Indian Film Artistes Association, Sarathkumar's activites have not been good for the party." Narayanan said that Sarathkumar had a grouse that the AIADMK had engineered his defeat and Sarathkumar had been forcing him to resign as MLA and act against the ruling party. But he had refused to oblige, according to TNIE.

He added that he is a AIADMK MLA and he will be announcing his decision on January 28.

Sources told TNIE that Narayanan could represent his position to the AIADMK leadership. Apparently, both MLAs - Sarathkumar and Narayanan were elected on the AIADMK symbol.
