Sai Prakash Leomuthu, CEO of Sairam College of Engineering has called the death of T. Abhinath a clear case of suicide and not murder.

He brushed away the charges that the reason was campus director P Balu scolding him a day before his suicide.

Deccan Chronicle reports that the CEO said Balu never interacted with Abhinath the day before the incident took place and said negative stories were doing the rounds on social media. He also said miscreants who were spreading the information were not part of it and legal action would be taken against them. 

Regarding the demands of students for Balu’s dismissal, he said that there would be a ballot system for that. Mentors are going to address the students' issues, he said.
