PWF choices pressuring DMK, AIADMK to change candidate lists: VCK leader Thirumavalavan

Written by : TNM Staff

In the run up to the upcoming assembly elections in the Tamil Nadu, VCK leader Thol.Thirumavalavan on Tuesday said that DMK and AIADMK are continuing to change their candidates due to the PWF alliance appearing stronger ahead of the elections.

“AIADMK and DMK are changing their candidates because they appear weaker than the third front. Earlier, the first list of both the parties would be the final list of candidates as well. But today, they have been reduced to a state where they change the candidates based on who the other parties are fielding, especially the candidates from the PWF alliance,” said Thirumavalavan, speaking to Thanthi TV.

While speculation was rife that he might take on AIADMK supremo J.Jayalalithaa from the R.K. Nagar seat, sources close to the leader say that he is likely to contest from Kattumannarkoil constituency.

The Third Front in Tamil Nadu now consists Vijaykant led DMDK, Vaiko led DMDK, VCK, TMC and left parties-CPI and CPI (M).
