Protest after mob thrashes teacher for hitting class 8 student

The News Minute | November 21, 2014 | 11:27 am ISTMore than 200 people protested against the thrashing of a physical education teacher by a mob on allegations that he had attacked the student for speaking in Tamil.A class eight student at the Loyola Matriculation Higher Secondary School in Chennai, had fainted after the teacher, S Baskar had allegedly attacked beaten him, reported Times of India. Following the incident, a mob entered the school and attacked the teacher. Protesters then staged a protest against the mob that attacked the teacher and demanded their arrest. The boy was taken to a private hospital after he fainted. According to the school correspondent, no evidence was found in the security camera that showed that the teacher attacked the boy, said the report.
