The News Minute | November 20, 2014 | 08:45 am ISTThe question over Rajinikanth’s upcoming December release Lingaa took a different turn after he said that the script and screenplay for the movie had been written by Chennai-based writer S. Ponkumaran.Earlier, the movie’s director KS Ravikumar had said that he himself had written the basic storyline of Ponkumaran, reported The Hindu. These claims and counter-claims were made after a film-maker from Madurai , KR Ravi Rahinam had filed a petition claiming that the script had been stolen from him after he had uploaded it on Youtube last year, said the report. Rajinikanth also stated that to prove that copyright has been infringed upon, atleast 13 continuous scenes shot in a movie should be similar to the story authored by the man, said the report. The superstar also said that being called a distributor for the movie was a blatant lie.
