Stretches like Taramani to Madhya Kailash, Kodambakkam, Loyala College to Nelson Manickam Road, Tambaram and OMR witnessed bumper-to-bumper traffic as inundated roads hampered vehicular movement.

A short spell of heavy rain saw the road from Tidel park to Thiruvanmiyur fully flooded.
