One more death due to Kishkinta theme park accident in Chennai

Following the death of a 19-year-old at the Kishkinta theme park on Wednesday, another 32-year-old man also succumbed to his injuries at a private hospital in Chennai, after being made to sit on a trial run of a “Disco Dancer” ride.

The deceased, Shabudin had suffered head injuries when the joy ride came crashing down at the third trial run. The other deceased, 19-year-old S Manikandan was a staff at the theme park and was from Nallur village, according to The New Indian Express. They staff at the Kishkinta theme park were leaving for home, before which they were forced to become part of the trial run.

Shabudin was working for Kishkinta theme park. He had moved to Chennai five years ago. According to TNIE, he was taken to the hospital at 7:30 pm and was kept on ventilator ever since. He stopped responding to treatments at 1:30 pm on Friday.

Two people have been arrested, Jose Punnoose (58), Joint Manging Director of the theme park and D Shaktivel (43), who is the human resources manager of the park.
