The News Minute | December 17, 2014 | 08:10 am ISTAfter massage parlours and spa owners in Chennai complained to the court over constant raids, the Madras High Court has ruled that without any law to permit or regulate them , the police cannot interfere in their working.The massage parlour owners came to the court after being subjected to raids by the anti-vice squad of the Chennai police, reported Times of India. Not only did it show them in bad light, the constant police interference also spoiled their business. Authorities henceforth, should not conduct raids and interfere with these businesses, said the judge according to the report. Only a 'special police officer' or a 'trafficking officer' can enter the premises of a massage parlour and carry out a search without a warrant, but for doing this he must have reasonable grounds to believe that some offence is being committed, said the judge according to the report. Tweet
