No differences in Congress on selection of candidates for TN polls, says Karti Chidambaram

Written by : PTI

Denying that there was any difference of opinion between the Congress leaders in Tamil Nadu on selection of candidates, AICC member Karti Chidambaram today said seat sharing between the party and DMK will go smoothly, since there was adequate time for the polls.

There was no difference of opinion among the leaders with regard to selection of candidates, Karti, son of former Union Finance Minister P Chidambaram, told reporters in Coimbatore.

Asked about Chidambaram's omission from the eight-member team constituted to select the candidates, he said there was "no cause for worry as all the team members are friends."

"The DMK-Congress combine will win with a thumping majority, as the people are waiting for a change," he said.

On cases against him, Karti said he has already submitted to the concerned authority all the documents, with regard to business and assets.
