In what could lead to an open war of words, Stalin has attacked PMK’s CM candidate Anbumani Ramdoss during his ‘Namakku Naamey’ campaign in Cuddalore on Sunday, stating that he has ‘lost all hope’. Anbumani‘s campaign has been designed around American President Obama’s ‘Hope’ campaign in 2008.

Referring to Anbumani Ramadoss’s campaign ‘First Signature’, Stalin told The New Indian Express, “The person who wanted to put the ‘First Signature’ after becoming the chief minister has lost all hope.”

Claiming that his own campaign has a good response, he said, “The title Namakku Naamey was chosen by party chief Karunanidhi. There has been a good response for this campaign. Many political parties are upset due to this, ” according to the TNIE report.

Stalin claimed that the party aims at making different castes live together in harmony, showing similarity between Vallalar and DMK, he said that Vallalar strived for social harmony. Vallalar wanted the people not to be divided on the basis of caste and religion. In the same way, the DMK government had established ‘Samathuvapuram’ which wants different castes to live together in harmony.

Vallalar was also concerned about environment and DMK planted 92 lakh saplings across the State to celebrate Karunidhi’s 92nd birthday.

Stalin has completed his second phase of the ‘Namakku Naamey’ campaign. And on Monday G. Ramakrishnan, State Secretary of CPI(M) told The Hindu that Stalin had failed to place an alternative economic and political policy and both DMK and AIADMK hardly have any difference  as both were involved in corruption cases and had pursued the same neo-liberal economic policy.
