Kovan meets DMDK leader Vijayakanth, asks him to join anti-liquor campaign

After meeting DMK leader M Karunanidhi and party treasurer M K Stalin on Thursday, Kovan, the folk artiste of Makkal Kalai Ilakkiya Kazhagam (MKIK) met DMDK leader Vijayakanth on Saturday in Chennai to thank him for opposing the protest and requested his party to join his anti-liquor campaign in the state.

In a press statement, he said, “I would like to thank Vijayakanth for protesting against my arrest. I have asked DMDK’s support for my protests for total prohibition.”

Kovan also gave CDs and books to Vijayakanth of the songs that he had sung earlier. .

Kovan had also met MDMK chief Vaiko and DMK leader M Karunanidhi and party treasurer Stalin to thank them for their support and also asked them to join his anti-liquor camapaign against the AIADMK government.
