Jayalalithaa sacks 9 party men for working towards defeat of party's official nominee in LS election

The News Minute | July 7, 2014 | 11:14 am ISTTamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa on July 6 sacked nine party functionaries of Dharmapuri district for working towards the defeat of the party’s official candidate in Lok Sabha Elections. AIADMK’s nominee from Dharmapuri Constituency PS Mohan lost to PMK’s Anbumani Ramadoss. In a statement issued Jayalalithaa said "They are expelled from all the positions they hold including basic membership for betraying the party by working in various ways to defeat the party nominee”, states a report in Zee News. Expelled party men include TR Anbalagan, former secretary of J Jayalalithaa Peravai, A Govindasamy, former Dharmapuri Union party secretary and C Palani, District Joint Secretary of MGR Mandram.
